中国现在的市场需要什么样的翻译人才?

  据了解,我国拥有40多万翻译人员,但翻译人员多是兼职,缺乏科学的管理方式,其管理译员的方式类似于国外的签约翻译方式,多是直接选用译员。专家指出,要实现翻译人才的专业化,必须建立翻译市场准入制度,实行对翻译人员的资质认证和持证上岗,以提高翻译行业的整体素质。具体来说,专业化翻译不是会两句外语,或者外语院校科班出身就能胜任的。一名合格的专业化翻译,首先要掌握两种以上的语言,即自己的母语和外语。翻译涉及的是两种语言,要想运用一种语言把另一种语言所表达的内容忠实地表达出来,译者就必须具备掌握这两种语言的能力。二是要具备翻译工作的特定技能。翻译是两门语言之间信息的转移过程,以会议口译为例,要在极短的时间内迅速理解发言者的语意,进行记录,然后精准地用另一种语言重新组合,并复述出来。这个过程需要经过长期训练,对口译员的记忆能力、记录能力、逻辑分析能力、理解能力都有很高要求。三是要求有广泛的知识背景,特别是对政治、经济、法律、国际事务要有所了解,是个杂家。另外还要有良好的职业道德,不管在何种场合,都要如实、准确地传递被翻译者的意思。
